Freewheel (Duke Special) Duke Special is one of the finest songwriters out there, and I’ve had the pleasure to see him live a few times, and also work with his brilliant live percussionist/drummer Chip Bailey.

As well as writing and uploading original piano pieces, I also record piano covers (almost) every Friday.

Children (Robert Miles) ‍An absolute classic piece of dance music. I remember getting the sheet music to this when I was a teenager.

Mystery Cover I uploaded this as a mystery cover, and I think I’ll keep it that way. See if you recognise it.

Caribbean Blue (Enya) ‍I had a dream that I should cover this. So I did. Enya is one of those artists that is inexplicably underappreciated. Beautiful chords, melodies, production… And the occasional touch of reverb. I prefer the original, with the gorgeous synth pads and arpeggii, but it works pretty well on piano too.

Three Lions (Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds) We’re into World Cup season, and this song, as always, was everywhere. I’m a huge Lightning Seeds/Ian Broudie fan, and this is a really beautiful piece of music that matches the lyrics – defiant rather than jingoistic – perfectly.

Total Eclipse Of The Heart (Bonnie Tyler) A tribute. The full version is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CjYt-CBeFo

Wonderwall (Oasis)‍ This was also played a lot during the World Cup, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to bring out my jazzy version. The full version is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg0duliXMwI

Your Funny Uncle (Pet Shop Boys) ‍A song that has always been close to my heart from a band that have soundtracked my life.

Do You Realize?? (The Flaming Lips) ‍A sweet song about being grateful for what you've got, because it's fleeting and it's beautiful. The full version is here: https://youtu.be/1eY7Zouf0P0

No Surprises (Radiohead) ‍I was writing a piece of music that I realised sounded like No Surprises, and so I decided to just cover No Surprises. No surprise there.

Against All Odds (Phil Collins) ‍A beautiful, heartbreaking piece of music. Upon request, I worked hard to avoid my usual flowy, arpeggiated style to play something more steady and solemn. The full version is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgfSZFzYhx8

All That (Sparks) ‍A beautiful, simple, romantic song by a band that have breathtaking longevity. And are still brilliant live.

Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime (The Korgis) ‍Just a great song, full of 80s atmosphere.
